Last week, the library welcomed guest speaker Ilana Landsberg-Lewis, Executive Director of The Stephen Lewis Foundation, fighting the war against AIDS in Africa. Next Tues., we welcome Dr. Rudy Boonstra from U of T@Scarborough to talk about Climate Change. This week we continue to work with ESLE students on developing the thesis, outline, and an argumentative essay on capital punishment. Check out the Guide to Good Writing from our Infobase e-books. Log in to infobase (UN/PW: agenda p23), then click here. Don’t forget: White Pine drops next Wednesday at our launch party after school.
► Plan ahead knowing there will be limited access (e.g., fewer computers to use). Please respect the classes that are in session and remain quiet. The Library may be closed during the following periods (this is subject to change: always check the whiteboard near the entrance):
Monday: Period 2
Tuesday: Period 2 & Period 3
Thursday: Period 2
Friday: Period 2
*lab/winlab: study spaces/computers are occupied by a class. Please remember to sign out your computers with photo ID during lunch.
The library is reserved for quiet work when a lesson is being taught. Do your part to keep the Library fully accessible during lunch periods and work quietly.
